The Island

Few travelers have ever heard of Union Island (population app. 2,500) or the Grenadines and even fewer have visited. It is definitely secluded and somewhat remote, but those who arrive here agree that it is worth the effort. With its secluded beaches, superb snorkeling, laid back atmosphere, friendly people, and year round warm weather, it is truly a diamond in the rough.

Shopping

If you are looking for tax free shopping, Union Island is not the place for you. Instead you will find a colorful fruit market, tiny shops and bars with just a couple of chairs. The square in the village of Clifton is bustling with life every time a ferry arrives, or you can venture on to Ashton, the second village on the island, where only few tourists find their way to.

Sightseeing

Sightseeing will take you up to Fort Hill to enjoy the views of Union Island and neighboring island, or maybe you prefer Aston Lagoon for an easy hike. You can also visit Happy Island, an island build out of discarded conch shells featuring a bar, or swim with the turtles in Tobago Cays Marine Park. We'll be happy to make suggestions, so that you will come home with truly unique memories.

Activities

Union Island may be small but there is still plenty of options for those looking to be active. Kite surfing has become very popular, with several kite schools on the island. There is also a diving school, and lots of interesting places to explore for those who like hiking or snorkeling.
